We chose Hayley to be our wedding photographer after attending our friends wedding last year and being thoroughly impressed with her professionalism, organisation and the quality of the photos she had taken.  My husband isn’t a fan of having his photo taken or being centre of attention so I knew we needed to choose someone that could blend into the background but equally organise all of our guests (and our children) efficiently. Hayley did not disappoint, she arrived at my house in the morning along with Craig the videographer.  (Who didn’t actually come in - I can’t imagine why he didn’t want to be around loads of stressed women, make up and hair straighteners!) Hayley arriving at the house immediately felt just like having a friend round who happened to be taking some photos. I was quite worried I’d feel a bit uncomfortable having someone I’d never properly met take photos of me while I was getting ready but Hayley is so warm and friendly it didn’t feel weird at all. She even helped my step mum get into her dress so she’s not just your photographer, she is another pair of hands in the chaos of wedding morning madness! At the church Hayley and Craig were already set up when I arrived and took some beautiful photos but in a very discreet way, which I’m sure our priest was really grateful for as he said in the past he has had photographers practically stand in front of him to take photos. Hayley and Craig arrived at the venue before we did and took some beautiful photos of the set up before the children were let loose on the garden games and tipi. They captured every moment of our day and literally never stopped taking photos. They both have an amazing eye for what will make a good photo and have a way of making you feel so comfortable. Because let’s face it - it’s not always comfortable being told to “kiss” or “stare into each other’s eyes” but somehow having one of them instruct you on how they want you to position yourself and the other make a funny comment just as the photo is taken you all end up laughing and suddenly it’s not awkward at all. They just work so well together which really shows through every moment they’ve captured behind the camera. They worked around our schedule for the day and were so relaxed about when they would get what shots that it felt far more relaxed than other weddings where I have seen photographers shouting for certain people to be in a certain place. We also didn’t have bridesmaids or a best man so Hayley and Craig literally had to organise everything themselves which isn’t easy when you don’t know who anyone is. I really can’t recommend Hayley and Craig enough, they even stayed later than they were booked for as they knew we were having a magician come in the evening and were hoping to get some photos of his work. They make you feel incredibly confident which I would love to think is because myself and my husband are “extremely photogenic” or “such an amazing looking couple” but actually they just know how to make you look your best and what to say to make you feel at ease with the whole thing. We’ve only seen the previews but the pictures so far are incredible, far better than we imagined. So we really can’t wait to see all the finished photos and the video.
