I adore a village hall wedding! There's always so much love and time that goes into all the details, which have often been lovingly handmade. They have a beautifully rustic charm about them and Victoria & James's wedding reception at Potten End Village Hall was no exception!

Victoria & James said their I do's at the registry office in St Albans before heading off to their reception for Summer Pimms followed by a delicious Greek style BBQ. Which, in 32 degree heat, was perfect!! After a week of grey clouds and rain it turned out to be a lush summers day

The venue itself was decorated with lanterns, fairy lights and summer flowers in hessian wrapped jam jars. There were photographs pegged to the wall of the entrance, spanning the couples 10+ year relationship, which I always think is such a wonderful way to personalise the details and often provides lots of admiration and giggles from the guests.

These two had us laughing all day and sighing over how utterly gorgeous they are together, which was then to be relived when going through their pictures for this post. I still honestly believe that being to able to photograph people in love, as they embark on the greatest adventure of all, is nothing short of an honour and it really was an honour to spend the day with Victoria & James to capture all of the love and laughter they shared.

Here's a little sneak peek of their day........
