Claire & Stuarts Intimate Mid-Week Wedding

Claire & Stuart are two of loveliest people I've met this year, so I was really excited to photograph their wedding in St.Albans last month!

When I arrived for Bridal prep Claire was sporting the most brilliantly oversized rollers and sipping champagne whilst wearing a Breaking Bad T-Shirt... Quite literally 3 of my favourite things! She showed me the gift that Stuart had given her for their wedding day, a small silver penguin - because penguins stick together for life. So incredibly sweet!

Their mid-week ceremony was intimate and heartfelt with a small gathering of close family & friends who joined them as they exchanged vows.

Their reception was equally beautiful. Claire had told me that after finding the blue and pink ceramic birds they had inspired her with the reception theme. The birds were used as a cake topper and the venue was decorated with shabby chic touches. Tables were adorned with Bird Cages and vintage marmalade jars filled with gorgeous foliage and pretty blooms whilst mini bird cages were filled with Gypsophillia.

So. Much. Pretty!

The brand new Mr & Mrs Dart....

I love the heavy old doors and the contrast of the delicate and ornate windows at the front of the Registry Office in St. Albans. It makes for a lovely backdrop for a few after ceremony pictures.
