Lauren and Olie got married on Saturday and it was such a beautiful day! The rain held off (just about!) and after the ceremony the newlyweds travelled to their reception by horse and carriage.

The wedding itself was a church service in All Saints, Great Barford. During the ceremony they had several beautiful readings from friends and family including Olie's Mum. It was such a personal service with lots of happy tears all round! Luckily, when Lauren reached the end of the aisle and stood next to Olie, her Dad was on hand with the tissues! I'm so honoured to witness such powerful moments and whilst I see lots of happy tears and emotional moments at weddings, they never fail to move me (hence I carry my own tissues!!)

After the ceremony we all headed off to the reception, held in the nearby village hall in Cardington and the perfect setting for a traditional afternoon tea! They had decorated the venue with bunting, flowers and literature from their favourite authors and there was a really awesome converted 1980's caravan serving real ales and specialised beers outside. There was a lovely, relaxed vibe and the venue looked absolutely beautiful with so many homemade touches everywhere.

Lauren and Olie's wedding was everything I love about village hall weddings, it was fun, laid back and filled with love, laughter and lots of gorgeous handmade details. Here’s a little preview of their beautiful wedding!
